Vote Yes on 2B!

Did you know that this year’s ballot includes a measure that would give the citizens of Colorado Springs a say in whether the city can sell certain parks and open spaces? Aiken Audubon has endorsed Amendment 2B to the City Charter, which requires voter approval for the sale or transfer of parkland. Disposal of any parkland or open space would diminish bird habitat and cause fragmentation, which are among the leading causes of biodiversity loss worldwide. We ask you to vote YES on 2B to protect wildlife habitat, and NO (or abstain) on the alternative 2C, which offers a lesser degree of protection.
